I am really excited to announce that I will be running a 5 week “Introduction to Creative Journaling Workshop” at the Art Studio in Harbour House, Kingsbridge.  The sessions will be held on Monday afternoons, starting on 8th January from 1pm to 4pm, until 5th February 2018.

I believe strongly in the power of journaling; as a way to relax, let your thoughts and feelings flow, to express your creativity and also as a great way to organise your life.

In this course we will look at a variety of journaling techniques and you will have the opportunity to start your very own journal.  There are no rights and wrongs in journaling and no previous experience is required.  It is a simple but effective way to express your creativity, document those special moments and improve your general outlook on life.

Journaling is an ancient tradition, one that dates back to at least 10th century Japan. Many successful people throughout history have kept journals, such as Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Mark Twain, Leonard da Vinci and Charles Darwin. But don’t worry that your life isn’t “interesting” enough to document!  The process of journaling can help you to really appreciate those every day moments that can so easily pass us by.

There is increasing evidence to support the notion that journaling has a positive impact on physical and mental well-being. Plus, it’s also a lot of fun and a wonderful keepsake for future generations.
